Know the whole story of Yogi Adityanath, MP elected at the age of 26


The real name of Yogi Adityanath is Ajay Singh. Ajay Singh was born on June 5, 1972 in a small village in Uttarakhand. He did a BSc in Mathematics from Garhwal University. He is the Mahant of the famous Gorakhnath temple of Gorakhpur. Adityanath is the successor of Mahant Avaidyanath, formerly of the Gorakhnath temple. He is also the founder of Hindu Youth Vahini, which is a social, cultural and nationalist group of Hindu youth.

Yogi Adityanath has been continuously representing Gorakhpur region since 1998. Yogis were considered to be big faces of the BJP. Yogi became MP for the fifth time in 2014.

Yogi came to such politics
His teacher, Avaidyanath, retired from politics in 1998 and declared Yogi Adityanath his successor. This is where Yogi Adityanath's political shift started. When the Yogi reached the Adityanath Parliament by winning the 12th Lok Sabha election in Gorakhpur in 1998, he was the youngest member of Parliament, he became the first MP at 26 years of age.

Yogi Adityanath constituted the Hindu Youth Vahini and launched a campaign against religious conversion. Walking on the path of fanatic Hindutva, he made many controversial statements. The Yogi remained in disputes, but his strength continued to grow. In 2007, there were riots in Gorakhpur, the Yogi Adityanath was made the main accused, the arrest took place, and the Koraham was also attacked. Several criminal cases have also been registered against the yogi.
