Ramnagar: Lal Bahadur Shastri's home that Modi visited in Varanasi
Varanasi's Ramnagar is famous for two things. It is the place, where former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri was born. It is also the place, which was the seat of power for the king of Kashi.

The RSS-BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have on several occasions have called for Congress-free India and held Nehru-Gandhi family's leadership for the almost all the problems of the country.
But, they have loved, venerated and tried to project two Congress stalwarts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri as their inspiration. Both were close to Pandit Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.
While Sardar Patel was born in Gujarat, the state Modi served as the Chief Minister for 14 years, Lal Bahadur Shastri was born in Prime Minister's parliamentary constituency in Varanasi.
